Watford – WR24

WR24 is a commercial building in Watford that was being fully renovated. As part of the works, we were brought in to remove the building’s original asbestos roof and replace it with a modern insulated composite panel system across around 2,000m².

Overview

The building’s original asbestos roof had reached the end of its working life and was not suited to a fully renovated, modern commercial property. With the whole building being brought up to date, the client needed the old roof completely removed and replaced with a durable, weathertight system that would protect the building for years to come. Stripping an asbestos roof of this size calls for careful planning, safe working methods and a well-organised site, so that the wider renovation could stay on schedule.

Solutions

We completely stripped the existing asbestos roof sheets, removing and disposing of them in line with current regulations. With the roof stripped back, we installed a new insulated composite panel system across the full 2,000m² roof area, giving the building a clean, weathertight and energy-efficient roof.

The full strip and resheet was completed in three weeks, leaving the building with a modern roof ready for the next stage of its renovation.
